JOB OPENING AT BRIDGE IN - FIELD OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE
🎩 Job Title: Field Operations Associate
📍 Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Field work across the city + Home Office flexibility)
🗂️ Type: Full-Time | 6-month IEFP internship, converting to full-time work contract
🎓 Experience: 0+ years (Recent graduates and early-career candidates welcome)
Most entry-level jobs are a slow death by spreadsheet. This one puts you in the streets of Lisbon, in rooms that matter, getting things done that actually move a business forward.
BRIDGE IN is the infrastructure layer that lets international companies land and operate in Southern Europe without getting buried in compliance chaos. We handle the boring so our clients can focus on building. But "handling the boring" in the real world requires a person on the ground who can walk into a bank, a notary, or a government office and actually get things done. That's this role.
Why BRIDGE IN?
🌍 We are a bootstrapped, profitable startup ranked among the fastest-growing companies in Southern Europe, with clients from over 35 countries and a track record of helping 7 unicorns create jobs in Portugal. No VC money, no hype, just execution and value creation.
This role exists because our physical operations in Lisbon are growing faster than our current capacity. The person we hire will directly support that expansion, touching real clients, real documents, and real consequences from day one.
We are also leveraging the IEFP +Talento program to make this hire, which means the role comes with a structured internship framework and a clear path to a full-time work contract after 6 months. More on eligibility below.
What You'll Be Doing
🚀 This is not a "shadow someone and make coffee" internship. You will own a set of real operational responsibilities from your first weeks.
Navigate Lisbon on behalf of our clients. Banks, notaries, government offices, post offices, client headquarters. You will know every relevant address in this city better than the people who work there.
Handle high-stakes documentation. Collecting, verifying, and submitting paperwork that has real legal and reputational weight. A senior legal and accounting team supports you, but the judgment call in the field is yours.
Guide international clients through local processes. You will accompany clients at banks and offices, acting as their local guide. You adapt your register depending on who is in the room, a conservative branch manager or a first-time founder who flew in from US or Singapore.
Break through bureaucratic walls. When a process stalls, you do not wait for an email chain to solve it. You go to the source, ask the right question, and find the path forward.
Feed operational intelligence back to the team. When you spot a pattern, a bottleneck, or a smarter way to do something, you flag it. We use tools like N8N to automate what can be automated, and your field experience helps us know what that is.
Who You Are
You are under 35 years old, hold a university degree (completed)
You are based in or able to commute within Lisbon
You are fluent in both Portuguese and English, written and spoken. You will need both, often at the same time.
You have high agency. You do not need someone to tell you what to do next when things go sideways.
You are organized in a way that matters, not just tidy folders, but zero dropped balls on time-sensitive, consequential tasks.
You are a people person without being performative about it. Professional, warm, and adaptable depending on the room.
You are comfortable being on the move. This role involves real physical presence across the city, not a desk all day.
Public transport in Lisbon is your friend. No personal vehicle required.
What We Offer
A real internship with a real conversion. Complete the 6 months with successful performance, and you get a full-time work contract. No ambiguity.
Compensation aligned with the IEFP +Talento grant, structured and transparent from day one.
Zero micromanagement. You own your route and your schedule. The mission is what gets tracked, not your check-in time.
Remote flexibility when you are not in the field. Home office, coffee shop, wherever you work best.
A learning curve that most people do not get until much later in their careers. In 6 months, you will understand how international businesses actually incorporate, operate, and survive in Southern Europe.
A team that promotes based on output and outcome, not tenure or title.
What Happens Next
We don't do corporate black holes. This is a real, open role, and not a ghost job to harvest resumes. Here is the general roadmap: start with a quick application form. If we're aligned, we'll send over a self-evaluation survey, followed by human-to-human interviews and a hands-on challenge so you can show, not just tell, what you can do. We're a startup, so the exact steps might iterate, but we guarantee three things: we (try to) move fast, we are radically transparent, and we will never waste your time.
