We are now looking for a talented and driven Chartered Accountant to help us improve our Accounting operations, enable the continued growth of the business, and support our global customers. This role sits at the heart of all key financial reporting, both externally and internally, and will work alongside our Finance Manager and Payroll Manager and report directly to the CFO and VP of Customer Success.

Responsibilities
Act as subject matter expert in all aspects of accounting and taxes
Maintain accounting records for BRIDGE IN and its customers on a daily basis
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Ensure stakeholder's trust and the confidentiality of financial operations
Prepare month-end reporting for consolidation in multinational companies
Prepare VAT reporting and year-end corporate tax fillings
Analyse trends, results, inconsistencies/issues, and gaps and be able to present findings
Manage communication with Tax Authorities
Assist with financial forecasts and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
Support customer queries relating to accounting and taxes
Be part of the panel to choose the new accounting ERP
Own and manage all financial data recorded on the company ERP – data integrity, performing monthly/annual reconciliations & audits
Define and optimize processes to prepare for the company's further scaling
Requirements
Based in Portugal (or willing to relocate)
Chartered accountant registered with the Portuguese Order of Certified Accountants (mandatory)
Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of working experience with at least 3 years in Portuguese Accounting and Financial Reporting
Experience in Primavera ERP is highly recommended
Strong understanding of Portuguese accounting principles and regulations
Good English and Portuguese oral and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and highly analytical skills
Be deliberate, thorough, and rigorous when executing assignments. Attention to detail is paramount
Proficient with corporate productivity tools, including email, spreadsheets, accounting, and financial reporting software. This role owns all financial modeling, so Excel to an advanced level is mandatory.
Experience interfacing with customers
Deadline-driven with the ability to self-manage by prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively. This role oversees all the key processes leading to the monthly and annual results
A can-do attitude and a team-first player. You will need to have the humility to roll your sleeves up at times and then move straight into a senior management meeting
Nice to have
Experience in audit and accounting with a top-10 firm is nice to have
International experience either on a personal or professional level
Previous experience in a consulting business
Previous experience in a fast-growing business
Experience in accounts reporting and consolidation in multinational companies
Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
Ability to influence. With the company and team growth, it will be important to be able to influence by your actions and lead by example, your leadership skills and analytical mind, will all come into play. You need to make people understand and believe the results and give them guidance on what that all means.
